House 2 Home Realty is happy to welcome Allison Snow back to its roster of real estate brokers! Allison brings with her more than 19 years of real estate experience and will serve as the office coordinator for H2H Realty’s newest office in Franklin County.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to be involved with the opening of H2H Realty’s Benton office,” Allison says. “In recent years, H2H has had a growing presence in Franklin County and surrounding areas, and we feel this location will allow us to better serve the people in this area.”
Allison recalls that when she began her real estate career, franchised companies were her only option. Several years ago, Allison moved her license to H2H Realty when she learned that Celia Robertson had opened an independent, non-franchised company with reasonable commission options.
“I grew up in Herrin, and I’ve always known our managing broker, Celia Robertson,” Allision explains. “I’ve supported Celia’s vision for her company from the start. I loved the idea that we can give sellers options and save them money while still giving them absolute great service at the same time.”
Allison says that one of her favorite aspects of real estate is helping new home buyers find their dream home.
“I enjoy the process so much that I actually became licensed as a mortgage originator, as well,” she explains. “I’m happy to step away from lending now and back into my role as real estate broker, but I can use my financing knowledge to encourage buyers to become pre-qualified with a lender so that they know what they can afford before we start looking for a house. It’s a great tool, and being pre-qualified gives them buying power when making an offer on a house. It’s a win-win for both the buyer and the seller.”
A few years ago, Allison moved to Franklin County, and her five children attend Sesser-Valier School. Allison and her family live in an old farmhouse in Valier that they’ve dubbed, FarmHouse Harvest Lavender Farm. Yes, lavender can be grown in Southern Illinois, and Allison has turned her hobby into a successful lavender-supply business. Outside of real estate and growing lavender, Allison also teaches Zumba.
“Serving people is what I enjoy doing most,” Allison says. “If you’re looking for an agent to hold your hand, that’s me!”
